Laser Bahia
Thursday, September 29, 2011,
Cool?! Wanna learn about boats? Anyway, this is Laser Bahia, if I didn't remember wrongly it's the 16 and belongs to the Class Dinghy. What was important is this boat cost nearly 10k, if only I had that much money. Whatever it is, Wednesday's sailing was awesome eventhough Maung and I had a hard time trying to upright the boat after a very clumsy capsize. I'm still puzzled about how in the world did we capsize when Maung just took a look at Jianguang, maybe just a glance. I bet he wanted to help Jianguang when he was in the 90 degree, who knows our boat went turtle. Thank god my phone was saved. I don't know what's with me, I just thought of having my phone with me instead of keeping it on the safety boat. Maybe because I trusted my lovely senior too much? Thinking that he wouldn't capsize and the boat being so heavy? Anyway, Maung had this pathetic DIY "waterproof" bag which have two bloody big holes in it. You know the hanger we always get to see in Shopping Center? Imagine the clothes that's being clipped on was changed to a transparent plastic bag. Yes, that two opening at the end of the clips. Luckily, the bag didn't dropped directly into the sea, if not...I also don't know how I would reacted. All thanks to that thick iPhone cover Josey gave me, my phone just got a little muddy but not wet. Now look who's laughing? Eventhough that cover of mine looks damn bulky or even like a biscuit but it did help reduce danger to my phone when it met up with a careless + a bit brainless owner like me. No joke, Bahia is damn heavy! Usually I can upright Pico alone with just my weight but Bahia... together with Maung and mine, it don't seems to work, not even a little. I didn't know how long we were stuck in "turtle" but according to Azhari, 15 minutes? I just know it's damn long, damn tiring. After we had upright the boat, I can see Maung lose a little confidence being the helm, what more about me at the crew position? When the wind gave a sudden blow my heart would just stop, and that ignorant safety driver just send us a free wave. He simply drove off like F1 after checking on our safety where he almost send us to another capsize. #$@% Although I always capsize but I still like Sailing. I wonder when I will die in sea because Sailing, okay, touchwood! Hehehe. |
